We look toward the long term development of our junior players. Younger players will spend the majority of their training hours mastering the fundamentals of advanced technique and footwork, developing mature and complete skill sets that ultimately will serve them well in match play. Whether players have immediate success at the 10 & under or 12 & under age divisions is not our program’s primary concern. Good results can certainly come early, and often do with our players. The overall aim of our program though, is to build towards a vision for the future, to develop mature players who have no technical limitations and possess a fully rounded understanding of all that match play might entail.
CURRICULUM.
Our program’s emphasis is on building a strong foundation for advanced all-court play. We aim toward the mastery of essential balance, movement and footwork fundamentals coupled with biomechanically sound hitting technique from all areas of the court. Fitness, tactics, strategy, and the mental game are prime considerations and are all addressed in organized fashion.
EXPECTATIONS.
Enrolled players must possess a high degree of self-motivation. Competition is also an integral component of our training. As such, we encourage and guide players to compete in USTA, ITF and UTR tournaments and events.
While our junior programs are undeniably fun, we offer players a more serious brand of fulfillment, one rooted in personal growth tied to a commitment to the development of advanced level skill sets.
